As a brand of Obrist GmbH, we combine grown electroacoustic expertise with the competencies and structures of Obrist GmbH – from initial consulting to long-term support.

The Beginnings
1981
In 1981, Erwin Wegleiter founded Audioelectronic in Lana. From the very beginning, the focus was on church sound systems and professional audio technology – from development and planning to the installation, support, and rental of loudspeaker systems.
In 1986, Audioelectronic took over the general agency of the manufacturer Strässer for Italy. Over the following decades, our expertise grew through numerous complex sound systems as well as the development of mobile, wireless, and weather-resistant audio solutions.
In 2019, the division and its employees were integrated into Obrist GmbH. The Audioelectronic brand, its extensive expertise, and the Strässer general agency continue under the umbrella of Obrist.
1981
Erwin Wegleiter founds Audioelectronic in Lana – focusing on church sound systems and audio technology.
1986
Audioelectronic takes over the general agency of Strässer for Italy and further expands its electroacoustic expertise.
2019 to present
Integration of the division and employees into Obrist GmbH. The specialized brand and its expertise remain intact.
